Marianne Faithfull performing Ruby Tuesday. This is one of my favourite songs ever and hearing Marianne singing makes it even better. There’s such a power in Marianne’s voice!

This song is beautiful and sad. A mix that kills.

Along with Amy Winehouse and Alicia Keys, Adele is one of the few nowdays artists I like. I don’t know why, but I’ve always had this avversion for modern singers. I think it’s because they don’t sing with heart. A lot of them sing just because they have a well-tuned voice and see in this an opportunity to make more money. And I hate this. Music should be a way to express feelings, emotions. Music should be a way to express yourself, not a way to earn money without working.

But listening to Adele’s music, I feel her emotions. She does not sing just because has a beautiful voice -and her voice is one of the most stunning I’ve ever heard-, she sings because she has something to say. And she can say it. Her music has helped me a lot of times, and I thank her for this. God bless you, Adele Adkins.

Whitney Houston, the Voice, one of the American greatest artists. A singer who was able to get to feel to other people heavy feelings. A woman with a brilliant talent, a woman with a powerful voice, a woman with a big strenght.

A performer with a talent so big, who has won 415 awards. Six Grammy Awards, two Emmy Awards, twenty-two American Music Awards, sixteen Billboard Music Award.

‘If the voice is a musical instrument, hers is a Stradivarius’. It’s Time Magazine’s comment about Whitney’s voice. And we everyone agree. Your voice, Whitney, was something special, something that nobody else have.

She started her career with ‘You Give Good Love’, she finished with ‘Million Dollar Bill’. All her songs have a grain of truth in them. Every song contains all the essence of Whitney Houston.

She was a great artist, a great performer, a great woman.

A woman who hasn’t been lucky enough to be a survivor. A woman who will always be in our hearts. We will miss you, Whitney. Rest in peace.
